1) Examples of damage:
- A tilt indicator shows tilting.
- Packaging has been damaged and exposed its contents.
- Packaging has been damaged on goods with weight differences across colli, and the goods have been re-taped.

.
2) At CHBA, we follow the procedure below when we discover damage:
- We collect the damaged goods and visually bring them to the attention of the freight forwarder and terminal manager.
- We note the number of damaged colli and the extent of the damage on a checklist.
- In the case of RFS goods, we clearly indicate on the CMR consignment note that we have noticed the damage and that our liability is limited (7-day period).
- In the event of major damage (estimated at more than 10,000 DKK), we call in the forwarder and the terminal manager, who will assess the damage and potentially send for a surveyor.
Document Handling prepares a damage report (CHBA will provide written notice to the airline and take photographs of the shipment).
CHBA retains the damage report and associated images, but these will be accessible to the airline only.
CHBA makes a note of the damage on the delivery slip.
